I’d just like to announce that I have been accepted as a Fieldworker for TEAR Australia.
In Febuary of 2006 I plan to undertake my first assignment as a IT Project Manager on a new 500 bed teaching and training hospital in North East India. It will be a 12-18 month assignment.
It is a big job for me to undertake. But I am sure I’ll get it done with a bit of help from my friends new and old, and a lot from above.
The exciting thing is that I’ll be blogging from a place where you need a special permit to be. The state of Nagaland where I’ll be based requires you to have a permit to visit. So I get extra stamps in my passport. YAY for stamps.
I am currently not on blogfeed. I’ll fix it when I get home.
Just ran into yet another save the children donor recruiter. This time though I was prepared. I had the truth on my side. I gave a very clear message to the woman. Only 60% of the money spent by Save The Children goes through to the projects. She was quite shocked. Felt very bad and asked me where she could find this information out. I refered her to the Save The Children annual report.
I had another look then. More then a third of donor income goes on the cost of getting donors. What a joke!
Here is my challenge to my blog readers and myself. When you see beggars, don’t pass them bye, don’t just drop a coin. Stop, sit down and have a chat. See what their needs are and just talk to them. Find out some of their story. If you can help them then do. It’s not something you can do everytime well not without becoming late or whatever.. I think though it’s worth doing.. I can’t help feeling it’s what Jesus would do.
Challenging?
Yes.
Uncomfortable?
Yes.
Fun?
Yes.
Jon is fun. I like Jon. Helen has done well.
Good film.. So so sad.
Bloody people going killing people based on race. It’s just not good.
Some annoying programer at St George Bank create a bug where by as I have no dependents I can’t apply for a credit card. It is pretty dodgy code..
I had a dream with Dosas in it last night. After Ryan Tom me and some other people had tabogan on a cart down a hill we ended up near all these Asian Restraunts. I went to explore and found this place that was a Dosa Restraunt. They had all these new types of Dosas. Cinamon is the only one that I can actually remember. And they were all like $6 too.
I am going to write a book. “Clapping from A to Z”

I can buy Daytona for only US $5400.
My tuner now works pretty well on FM today. I added chanel scaning today.

I had all kinds of problems with the tuner card restarting.. I think I must of been accessing arrays out of index or something.. I don’t know.. I fixed it all somehow. Added an extra element to an array. Replaced delay loop with call to _delay_ms. I am tempted to add a few buttons to the program so I can play without using the RS232 interface. Or maybe coding up a tuner app.. Maybe I should code up a tuner app tomorrow.
end geek speak
I had a medical and psycho evaluation today.
Mentally I am very well.
So far I have a clean bill of physical health. Still have to get some medical tests done but I should be fine. Had my venesection today. Still got to test for TB and a few other ones. All lots of fun.
I was talking to Pete and his cell battery ran out mid-sentence it was quite funny.
Just finished reading Harry Potter. I managed it in less then 10 hours. Just goes to show how fast you can read a good book.
My non-spoiller thoughts are as follows. Good book, definately not for small children. I’d advise you to wait until book seven comes out before reading it. It may help ease some anxiety.
Bloody HELL I am going to have to wait years for J K Rowling to bring out another book.
