It’s strange knowing that a place you spent months of your life is now suffering from a major natural disaster.

Just got the following message from EHA

Continuous rains over last 5 days in Raxaul and surrounding areas have led to the hospital and staff houses being flooded again.

The hospital is over flowing with patients, being brought in with various diseases after the floods. The staff are stretched with over work and their homes under water, and are finding it difficult to work in this situation. Pray for the team.

As well as this I am reading about earthquakes in Peru killing more then 500 people.

I do get tempted to bury my head in the sand. There is a little too much suffering around the place..

Then I remember that there is also joy like Dylan and The Frames, and I start to think there is hope for the world yet..
