Nagafest
I got back today from a 2 day trip to Kohima, the capital of Nagaland. I went with some of the people from the project and it was a really fun break from work and Dimapur.
We got to visit the Hornbill festival, go to a Belguim coffee festival, some of a rock concert, the war memorial, a farm and a village. We also got to eat a fair bit of Naga food, which is very heavy on both spice and meat with fat. I also got to eat some snails as well which was a novelty but not something I plan on doing a lot of.
Kohima and the Naga hills are so beautiful, and I can’t help thinking that if it wasn’t for all the restrictions Nagaland would be a very popular tourist spot.
