Coke - To Drink or Not To Drink

I have a decision that I need some help with from people, should I continue drinking Coke in India when it has reportatedly got dangerously high levels of pesticides in it? One state Kerala has baned all Coke and Pepsi drinks from being sold. A part of me wonders whether all this controversy is just political, maybe someone didn’t pay a bribe or something. Anyway let me know what you think.

Yeah, if they were exploiting workers and killing locals or something it might be worth stopping. But pesticides? Bah! If it’s false you’ll have nothing to worry about. If it’s true it’s just one more way to identify with the Indian people in their suffering. It’s a win/win situation really.
hmmm… i don’t know. but if its true, it cant be good for you. see where the bribes get you maybe.
dave, when i first got there in january there were stories in the paper about it. i think that it comes up every year. i’m not sure that it’s real either.
plus, if you paid attention to everything that would kill you slowly…
well, i guess there’d be no point in living at all. because virtually everything you do is bad for you in some way or another.
i say drink the coke, and pour a little rum in it.
maybe it’ll kill the pesticides. you never know.
