Peace
Sunday often brings me a sense of peace. The place where I am staying in Dimapur is certainly more peaceful then my home in Delhi. As I was making myself breakfast this morning I could hear the singing of Western Contemporary Praise and Worship songs.
I went to the morning service at the Ao church 50 meters down the road. Ao is a major tribe of Nagaland. The service was all in Ao, and they sung Ao version of Great Is Thy Faithfulness. It was a nice experience, they had lots of prayer, a few songs and a rather long sermon. The preacher was kind and took pity on me and the two other foreigners in the service, and gave brief summaries of what he was saying in English every so often. I had the problem of feeling rather dehydrated and sleepy during the service. I almost fell asleep a number of times during the service.
At the end of the service even during the closing prayer people started leaving. Few of them stayed around for even a few minutes. It seemed to be a very much worship and then go home affair.
Not sure what I am doing today I’ll have to wait and see.
