Apparently I made the dean’s list this year again.. I am not quite sure how that works as I don’t think I did enough credit points but it’s fun. Weird finding out about it through an email from my mother.
I am starting to think that if love is about spiritual growth (as Peck defines it) and sin is a failure to love then failing to do things that grow you and others is a sin.
Today I discovered that one of our keyboards had some bugs in it, literally. At first I thought it was just one or two of the cockroaches. Anyway we sprayed the keyboard with some insect killer and instantly 4 or 5 of our little cockroaches came out. I then proceeded to take off all the keys, where I found many more. There were about 12 of the little cockroaches that have been freeloading off us in the keyboard. I think we will be spraying the keyboard weekly now to try and stop the blighters..
These cockroaches which are 1-2cm big also enjoy inhabiting our gas burners as sometimes when we cook it backfires out cockroaches.
Seriously people don’t waste your money on rice cookers, there is a much simpler way to cook rice, then rice cookers. The presure cooker, so simple put in a cup and a bit of water and a cup of rice put on hot plate, and wait for it to whistle. It only takes a couple of minutes too!
I wonder sometimes if it’s possible to have equality on this Earth.
When the US drops 2.5 billion from their aid and development budget. When I get outside my house and see wealth and poverty side by side. When I walk past people in need.
I believe the kingdom of heaven is amoungst us, but what does that mean in this ever so dark world? What does it mean for it still to be coming?
I don’t know the answers. So I’ll just keep on working..
It’s amazing how nice a good weekend can make you feel.
Yesterday I went and saw X Men-3 which was good. Then later in the day I went to Maximising employment to serve the handicapped(MESH) store which is in Uday Park, about 5 minutes walk from my house. I love the warm vibes I get from going to places like MESH. I love the work that they are doing. They also sell some of the stuff from the leper colony in Raxaul which is fun.
I then walk on to Baristas in South Ex, my local coffee shop of choice. They are getting to know me well there. They make really good mango smoothies.
This morning I decided not to go to church until evening. I got out of bed when my mum called. She called on the landline which was a bit of a shock. It was nice to talk to her.
Then I had a shower, and the cold water was actually warm enough. I then made myself some scrambled eggs and my morning coffee. I then put on a U2 DVD and I am really enjoying it. I get such good warm vibes when Bono does his little justice speeches.. I love it!
Wes and I have a new term. “Laptop Movie”, a movie which does not merit full attention. As such one usually surfs the Internet, chats online or even does work whilst watching the movie. They usually are best enjoyed by suspending higher level brain functions which is achieved by doing something else whilst watching the movie. Hillary Duff movies fall in this category. As I post this I am watching one of those films on cable tv.
Wes just said he “has to debug sex.”
I think that it is important in life to make choices and to have ownership of them.
I don’t wanna wait in vain for your love
I don’t wanna wait in vain for your love
From the very first time I blessed my eyes on you, girl
My heart says, “Follow through.”
But I know now that I’m way down on your line
But the waiting feel is fine
So don’t treat me like a puppet on a string
‘Cause I know how to do my thing
Don’t talk to me as if you think I’m dumb
I wanna know when you’re gonna comeSee, I don’t wanna wait in vain for your love
I don’t wanna wait in vain for your love
I don’t wanna wait in vain for your love
‘Cause it’s summer is here
I’m still waiting there
Winter is here and I’m still waiting there
Like I said,
It’s been three years since I’m knocking on your door
And I still can knock some more
Ooh, girl, ooh, girl
Is it feasible, I wanna know now
For I to knock some more?Ya see, in life I know there’s lots of grief
But your love is my relief
Tears in my eyes burn
Tears in my eyes burn while I’m waiting
While I’m waiting for my turn.See, I don’t wanna wait in vain for your love
I don’t wanna wait in vain for your love
I don’t wanna wait in vain for your love
I don’t wanna wait in vain for your love
I don’t wanna wait in vain for your love
Oh, I don’t wanna, I don’t wanna
I don’t wanna, I don’t wanna
No, I don’t wanna, I don’t wanna
I don’t wanna, I don’t wanna
I don’t wanna wait in vain. It’s your love that I’m waiting on
It’s my love that you’re running from.

Bob Marley
I’ve had this song in my head all day today. It’s not a bad song to have in your head, kind of nice.
I really enjoy the ritual of my morning plunger coffee. So nice and relaxing to drink a nice big cup of good coffee every day.
It’s all official now after a couple of hours in the Foriegner Registration Office and a late fee I now official reside in India. Which means that I can get some cheaper flights and the like. Which will be nice.
“Michael Franti, world-renowned musician and human rights worker, travels to Iraq, Palestine and Israel to explore the human cost of war with a group of friends, some video cameras and his guitar.”
This looks like a great film.
I started watching it this weekend and now I am addicted.
