I love this combination. A really nice bottle of wine and a crumy microwave meal. Nothing says class quite like it.
A word of thanks to Anmol who sent me an sms reminding me about daylight saving. I read it at 5.30am when the phone rang and I didn’t get up and answer it. It was important to know about daylight saving because I was meant to be in at Uni at 10am.
2 out of 3 assignments down. Now time to prepare for the presentation.
Do you think I can prepare a 15 minute presentation in 15 minutes?
I was just reading over some of the feedback I got on the workshops I ran in India. I feel really humbled at the gratitude expressed by the students I taught. At the time I was all too busy to process it. I was getting ready to leave Duncan Hospital and a bit cynical at that stage.
I think I definately want to do more teaching. I love being involved in empowerment. It’s one of the most satisfying things.
Just got into Uni. One of the machines power isn’t working properly. It’s a Sunday no chance of getting anyone from the Uni to fix it. It seems like it may be a dodgy power block. I’m going to buy another one.
I had Mil and Martin around for wine tonight. I really enjoyed it.
I don’t see enough of them.
I really am a big extravert. Living this past week by myself in the house I’ve really felt it. Although I have hardly been home, when I have been I’ve felt it.
I really need someone to bounce ideas off and just chat with. It’s amazing how quickly I am getting lonely. I have had people come and visit and that’s been great.
I do quite enjoy living at home alone there are advantages. I can entertain more, play music louder not clean up and walk around the house naked if I want to.
I think though my favorite home would have to be living with Pete at Duncan. We got on so well. It’s the only time I’ve lived with a friend for a significant period of time. It was top notch.
I miss you Pete.
How good is Buffy.. I love this quote of Spike’s from Lovers Walk in Season 3.
You’re not friends. You’ll never be friends.
You’ll be in love till it kills you both. You’ll fight, and you’ll shag,
and you’ll hate each other till it makes you quiver, but you’ll never be
friends. (points at his temple) Love isn’t brains, children, it’s
blood… (clasps his chest) blood screaming inside you to work its will.I may be love’s bitch, but at least I’m man enough to admit
it.
I am here in the lab at uni. Working on integration. I don’t really have much to do other then watch people try and fix there bugs. Oh wow were ready for testing now.
Robot crashes are fun. The Assembler team just crashed the Ompa robot into the PETRA bin. I might put up some photos when I get a chance. Only the 2nd or 3rd crash today too!
Why do Australian people think the new terror laws are a good idea?
It seems so stupid to me. Why do we want our government to have all these new extra powers? Powers that you can bet will stay with us for decades. Until one day we get a really bad government who labels people who oppose it as terrorist. Suddenly all the members of say the Greens could be rounded up overnight and held for two weeks. No one would have to be told where they were.
I am working with an oxygen cylinder and an oxygen sensor today. It was fun for the first 5 minutes. What am I going to do now.
He just dropped into my work and gave me a U2 live mix cd. It’s very fun.
I can just picture the amount of flirt CD’s that will be made now iTunes is open in Australia. I just hope the young flirters of Australia have good taste.
I am all alone in the office today :-(.
