Maya Dosa

Went to Maya Dosa tonight with Sam and Jem. ‘

Name: Maya Wigram St Haris Park

Date: 30/05/2005

Food:

I ordered a samosa first. It was good but it came in a little bowl full of what appeared to be BBQ sauce. This is not on.

I ordered a paper masala dosa. It was pretty good. The service was very quick. I didn’t have time to start the samosa before it was on my table. Good presentation. Only two dippers though came with the dosa. The texture was pretty good. However personally I felt the pancake part was a bit too brittle.

Atmosphere:

Maya was very modern. Perhaps to modern, the tables and chairs and whole place had an upmarket look. Very trendy. I was not a fan of this. It was quite popular and noisy too.

Value:

My Papar Masala Dosa was $8.50 and the Samosa $1.50. Not a bad price but still a dollar or so
more then I’d like. The service was good. They also had a range of Indian drinks. Sadly no thumbs up.

Rating:
*** - I give it 3 stars. I am afraid that the somosa sauce and the attmosphere stopped it getting the four stars it could of got. When I go to Indian I want it to be authentic.
