India is just too hot. Waking up early (between 6am-7.20am) each day is just too much of a strain. Not sure how well my teaching is going. I’ve been getting distracted by all the other problems around. Got to get more focused on the teaching.
It’s been a bit quite this week. There’s only one Canadian left in Raxaul at the momment. At one stage there were 8. It’s been a bit quite at the Western Guest house for meals cause there’s only been 2 or 3 of us there. But tonight 2 more British people come. So things will be a bit more exciting again. I like British people. I had pancakes for desert last night. They were really good. And pancakes(well more like pikelets) for breakfast.
Been getting into Abbot and Costello movies of late. Watched two so far. They are very funny. So glad I brought a laptop with me. It’s nice to be able to relax in front of a screen.
Going to Delhi on Saturday it’s going to be great. I can sleep. YAY!! It’s going to be so nice.
Anyway going to the markets now to see if I can get an Indian SIM card for my phone. I’ll see how it goes.
India Stuff
With the internet down I have been feeling so out of touch with the whole world. The local paper doesn’t have much international news. Unless you count Britiny Spears 3rd mariage plans. Lot’s is happening here. I am getting better from a bit of sickness I’ve been having. Sleeping better. Getting on okay with people. Developing routines. Enjoying having a fridge. Exploring outside the compound a little. Keep on meeting great people.
Work is a bit difficult just trying to decide what I should be doing and hard. Been writting lots of reports which I might one day finish. Got to develop my training course too. So many things to do, I’ve been a bit bad. I haven’t got much done cause I’ve been sick. I am hoping to rectify that soon though. Also aiming to spend less time on maintance tasks and more time on planing, experimenting and documentation. Given myself a deadline to get some of the stuff finished.
Going to Delhi Saturday week for a week. It will be nice to get out of Raxaul. Raxaul is good it just never ends. Even Sundays you have stuff to do, (Church twice). It will be nice to be able to get a good sleep in too. I am really looking forward to sleeping in. Oh and a bed with a decent matress. Oh and not having to have a mozzie net. Oh yeah baby.
