Whatever

Tuesday, February 17th, 2004

I am out of tasks that I can do work on at the moment. It’s the problem with having your boss away for consecutive days without working out what they want you to do. And not being able to discuss things properly. Oh well.

Deathly

Monday, February 16th, 2004

Now that I’ve met you
Would you object to
Never seeing each other again
Cause I can’t afford to
Climb aboard you
No one’s got that much ego to spend

So don’t work your stuff
Because I’ve got troubles enough
No, don’t pick on me
When one act of kindness could be
Deathly
Deathly
Definitely

RIOT

Monday, February 16th, 2004

There was a riot in Redfern last night. I don’t like the idea of having riots in Australia. I like to think that we are a stable democracy which treats it’s citizens well regardless of race or wealth.

Unfortunately I think I am wrong. I think it is about time we tried to fix some of the problems in our country. I don’t know what to do about it all. I am ashamed at how we have treated our indigenous people in the past and how we are treating them now as well.

Cheap Lunch

Monday, February 16th, 2004

Just discovered the nicest really cheap lunch. A fantastic pasta pronto for $1.49. You just chuck in hot water and 3 minutes later you have a bowl of pasta. How good is that? And it even tastes good.

It’s funny

Sunday, February 15th, 2004

I never really think I have that much of a belief system or that I’ve figured out what I believe specifically about God. When I start talking I suddenly remember all these thoughts I have had as well as discusions I have had. I do think about God stuff from time to time but never really gather the different thoughts I have had together. When tonight I was talking to someone I ended up putting them together and they match up nicely. It was nice to experience a click type momment.

Turra Uniting

Sunday, February 15th, 2004

Went to Turra Uniting tonight with Lesley. It was alright, most low key service I have been to there. It’s a bit odd going back to a church after a month. A bit akward starting conversations then usual. Only ended up talking to three people for any length of time. Though I didn’t stay too long.

Unpaid

Sunday, February 15th, 2004

I haven’t received my pay for the past little while. It has made my life quite difficult. I have no idea how Howie has managed for 4 months without any real support from his organisation. Howie is an incrediable guy. I don’t know how he puts up with some of the conditions he faces. It’s not fun trying to live on little or no money. I feel compelled to help him out as much as I can.

However it is the organisation that he works for that I believe is directly responsible for his current situation. This kind of thing negates much of the good his organisation is attempting to achieve. I hope that they can work out something for Howie by the end of the month. If this drags on much longer I am going to be very upset.

Boolean Logic

Friday, February 13th, 2004

I had to work with some boolean logic today. It’s odd there is stuff at Uni that you don’t think you’ll need to use much in the real world. Every now and then you do though have to use the stuff. It makes you glad you already know it. Good old Kaurnaugh maps and implimenting circuits using only NAND gates is a good example of that.

Hot Chips and Gravy

Thursday, February 12th, 2004

I meet Jo for hot chips and gravy today. It was really good. I love hot chips and gravy from Chakies. It’s also fun to sit and talk in Hornsby Park.

Lunch

Thursday, February 12th, 2004

Today was the first foodcourt Thursday. It was nice even though only 3 people were there. Tom and Ryan.

Tom came to work afterwoods and used our internet. It was fun to have a visitor to work.

Workers in the old side of Hornsby celebrated today as power to the area was lost at 4pm today. Many employees were given early marks and allowed to go home instead of sit in the dark.

Coming to a food court near me

Wednesday, February 11th, 2004

It gives me great joy to inform you that though Wednesday food court is dead, a new and more exciting thing is coming. Thursday foodcourt. All the fun and the spills of Wednesday foodcourt but on a Thursday. This means even more people can now come to the foodcourt.

Here’s the details:
When: Every Thursday at 1.30pm.
Where: the table of dreams,
Westfield Hornsby
Why: ‘Cause the foodcourt is the bomb.

Wednesday Food Court Is No More

501st Post

Wednesday, February 11th, 2004

Well this is my 501st post on my blog. In case you haven’t found out by now Anmol is the anonymous poster know as N/A. I still can’t quite work out the point of all these comments. It’s been a bit of fun though.
